EAGLES ARE TAKING FLIGHT

2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR

I am so very pleased with all that we have planned for our Champions at East Academy for this School Year. In this Newsletter you will see a list of Extra-Curricular Activities, Sports and other great additions that we have here this year. Please take the time to read over this entire Newsletter Carefully as it is jam-packed with events and information. Let’s all work together to ensure we have the best year possible!

ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL

  1. Doors open for breakfast at 7:30am.
  2. Students are marked as tardy after 8:00am.
  3. Dismissal begins at 3:30pm.
  4. Early pick-up adds to minutes that students are out of school.
  5. Students who are picked up early without advanced notice (by 2:30pm) will be marked absent until a doctor’s note is provided.

DRESS CODE REMINDERS

  • All students in grades EK-7th should wear black pants and a white collar shirt Monday through Thursday.
  • Only 8th grade is permitted to wear Khaki Pants.
  • On Friday’s we show our Eagle Spirit by wearing red polos or approved East Academy Wear.
  • All shoes must be black, white, red or can be a combination of the three colors.

NO HOODIES ALLOWED! School Cardigans are the only acceptable outer-garment.

NO CELL PHONE ZONE

East is a No Cell Phone Zone-Effective 10/11/2022

Students are not to have cell phones in class. It is a distraction and we have so much learning to do! Beginning on Tuesday, October 11th students will be given an opportunity to turn in phones upon arrival. Students who violate the cell phone expectations will receive consequences after a parent meeting is held.
